Chapter Seventeen

Santos

Eset and I made love through the night—three whole times. The first and second times, I was slow and passionate with her because I didn’t want to cause her any unnecessary pain… but by the third time, I was finding it difficult to hold myself back. She’s beautiful as can be, inside and out, and I’m damn lucky to call her my wife.

She’s in the shower right now, getting ready for the day, and she had Goran go fetch my bags from my room and bring them to the penthouse. I’ve already showered, and I’m changed into my suit for the day. It’s not nearly as posh as the one I was in last night, but it does look damn good. It’s a black suit jacket and matching pants, with a light green dress shirt and a black tie.

We’re supposed to meet Ruslan, Nazyr, and Lom at the secure location below the parking garage in about an hour. Eset doesn’t know it, but I already placed an order for room service, so our breakfast will be here by the time she gets out of the shower. I’ve ordered two eggs Benedict, two waffles, an array of fruit, and muffins in case Eset doesn’t want anything else I’ve ordered. I also have two cups of coffee coming, as well as orange juice.

There’s a knock on the penthouse suite’s door, and I walk over and open it, only to see Goran with a cart. “I told the hotel worker they could go,” he states, and I don’t bother saying a damn thing as he comes inside. He pushes it past the couches, over to where the small breakfast table is, and as he’s getting ready to leave, Eset walks out with wet hair in nothing but a towel.

Goran’s eyes linger a little longer than I’m okay with, so I clear my throat, and Goran begins to leave the suite. I walk him out and shut the door behind him. I will never like that man. There isn’t one bit of me that ever will, and I’m certain of it.

“You got breakfast?” Eset raises her brows in question.

“I did. I wasn’t sure what you were in the mood for, so I got a bit of everything, as you can tell.”

Eset laughs in a carefree manner. “I can see that.” She goes and takes a seat at the table, and I begin taking the metal tins off the food, giving her waffles and the eggs Benedict first. I place the coffee and orange juice in front of her and then put the bowl of fruit and muffins on the table as well. After she has all her cutlery, I grab my own dishes and place them down in front of where I’ll be sitting. “Thank you for ordering. I was worried we’d be pressed for time by the time I was done getting ready.”

“It’s no problem. I’m starving, so I figured you’d be hungry as well. All the sex we’ve been having has really done me in,” I explain as I take my fork and scoop up a bite of the eggs Benedict.
